I am very vocal about how I have to pump at work, and because of that I get a lot of questions about what products I use, what are my favorites and what are my MUST HAVES for pumping so I figured it was time I shared those with you!
The breast pump I use is the Spectra S2. I love this breast pump because I have a lot of control over the suction and power. It is also light weight so it’s super easy to carry around.
When I nursed Emma I never dealt with any problems, this time around with Owen not only was it harder in the beginning, but I dealt – and still do sometimes – with so many issues! One of them was getting clogged ducts. 🙁 I was so excited to find the LaVie Lactation Massager!
The LaVie Lactation Massager is a milk expression tool that helps with plugged ducts and it also helps improve milk flow and ease engorgement. It has multiple vibration modes and a step-by-step care plan. This Lactation Massager has come in handy so many times! I make sure to always keep it in my pump bag.
I cannot live without my hands free pumping bra! Oh my gosh, this is one of my favorite things in the world and I hate pumping without it! This product does exactly what the name says – HANDS FREE! I love it! I get to multitask while pumping since I don’t need to sit holding the bottles. If you pump and don’t use a hands free pumping bra – you are welcome in advance! Trust me, it’s something you never knew you needed while pumping!
I feel like I’m always talking about the Lansinoh Milk Storage Bags, but they are seriously the best milk storage bags I have used, and so I continue to buy them and use them to store my milk. 🙂
I have been so lucky this time around with my milk output, on a regular day I pump more than what Owen needs, so I am always freezing milk (hooray!) and these bags are my go-to.
I have had this cooler from Medela for years, and I like that both the Medela bottles and the NeneSupply bottles fit since I use both brands while pumping. This cooler is a must have when transporting your breastmilk around like I do.
And finally, definitely always have hand sanitizer and wipes ready! It is sooooo important to be clean while pumping – it’s your baby’s food! I love this set from Purel because it comes with mini travel bottles that you can keep hanging on your pump bag, regular pump bottles to keep around and wipes to sanitize the area where you will be pumping.
Pumping is HARD! There is nothing fun about it, but we do it for our babies and so I am sending you all pumping mamas a big virtual hug and telling you that you can do it! ♥
