Easter 2016

So let me begin this post by talking about how great Emma did with the Easter Bunny! I am so happy with her picture! I was a little annoyed at the photographer because she had no patience, nor tried to get a smile from Emma, unlike the lady that took our pictures with Santa – she was so patient and kind. Well, don’t mess with this crazy photo lovin’ Mama! I will get the shot I want, haha! All it took was for me to talk to her and BOOM! Smile! And we got the shot. Not to mention the fact that I paid $18 for one 5X7.. Of course the picture had to be good!

Anyway, I made Emma’s Easter Basket early! I got a pink wire basket from the Target Dollar Spot – I went ahead and got myself a gold one, and a silver one, and a mint one in case I have a boy next (haha) because everyone who loves Target knows that you better get something when you see it or it might not be there the next time you go looking for it!!!

Back to the basket – I got pink “grass” with white polka dots for the bottom of the basket, and I put some cute pink bunny eggs in there that I found at the Dollar Tree for decoration.

In the basket I put a couple of cute little pearl necklaces, pink flower shaped sunglasses that I got from the Target Dollar Section, a super cute lacey pink headband from The Little Mohawk, a Bunny Rattle, a sippy cup, a “First Easter” doll rattle, a bunny head balloon, a book with bunnies in the story, the story isn’t about Easter, it’s about being your best self, I liked the story and I will like to read it to Emma when she’s a little older, and starts finding out the difference between being nice or not so nice to others. The Easter Bunny also left her a singing Minnie Mouse with a light up bow and a little toy telephone.

Emma also got baskets from our family and friends, her Auntie Manda got her a pink basket with a Minnie Mouse, a cute romper, spoons and a stuffed bunny, Vov’o got her a crinkle book and the same little doll I got her, so now she has one for our house and one for Vov’o’s house. Her Grandma Bette got her a basket filled with onesies and Minnie Mouse goodies, and her cousins got her a little Minnie pail and stuffed doll. What a spoiled baby! 🙂

We had an egg hunt at Aunt Amanda’s house, her cousins were sweet and helped get her eggs, she was able to grab some but instead of putting them in her basket she stuffed them right in her mouth!

I can’t wait until next year, when Emma will understand Easter a little better, and be able to go get her own eggs by herself – I just hope she’s not afraid of the Easter Bunny!
