I love being able to be creative, especially around the holidays!
I saw a Santa Camera Ornament online and I just had to make one for my kids!
With the help of my Cricut Maker, and a few supplies I already had at home I was able to put my own spin on it and create my own!
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own Santa Camera Ornament:
Cricut Maker
Clear Ornament
Small Phone Lens
Glitter
Vinyl
Pledge Floor Cleaner
Super Glue
The first thing you’re going to do is open up the clear/plain ornament, and put a generous amount of the Pledge Floor Cleaner inside.
You will swish it all around the inside of the ornament until you have covered every side of the ornament.
After you have covered the entire inside of the ornament, make sure to save product and just let the extra cleaner pour out of the ornament, back into the bottle.
I like to let it sit upside down for a few minutes to make sure that all the extra product comes out.
After you’ve poured out the extra cleaner, it’s time to add the glitter!
I like using a little cone to put my glitter easily inside the ornament.
Make sure to pour a ton of extra glitter because you want to make sure that you can cover the whole inside of the ornament and that there are no empty spots around the ornament missing glitter.
After pouring all the glitter inside, swish the ornament around, making sure that glitter sticks all over the inside of the ornament.
You can put the ornament by a window or a light to see any little empty spots with light shining through, and make sure to cover the opening of the ornament with your thumb, and shake shake shake the glitter around until every little spot and every little hole is covered with glitter.
After filling in the whole ornament, let it dry for an hour or so, then put the cap back on!
Use your font of choice on Cricut Design Space, and whatever saying you want – I chose “Santa Cam” but another cute one is “Elf Surveillance”!
Stick the wording on leaving space in the middle for the little lens, and voila!
You are done!
